Kozzmozz & Rave Alert present: The Space Rave

Gent - 31/12/18

Devilish Line-up
Our rave captains will take you on a journey to outer space dimensions:
The Kozzmozz zone

AnD Live (Inner Surface Music, Electric Deluxe. UK)

Enigmatic Mancunian duo AnD famously rose to prominence in 2011 after a slew of ground breaking releases characterised by their refurbished, stripped back brand of techno. True vinyl purists, the two maintain strong analogue production ethics and showcase this in their heavy hitting live show.
AnD’s modernistic approach has been endorsed by trailblazing UK imprints Project Squared and Idle Hands, whilst their purist ideologies have been employed by the visionary Horizontal Ground, Black Sun Records and Repitch labels. We can’t wait to hear their vision of techno in their live set on New Year’s Eve.

Paula Temple (R&S, Noise Manifesto. DE)

For over 15 years Paula Temple has been pursuing her own unique musical path. As a self-confessed noisician she specialises in a noisy, phantasmagoric techno sound, where the dial is rarely turned below 200% and every moment of silence seems deafening. Such refreshing high voltage music has placed Paula at the forefront of today's techno scene. R&S Records released ’Colonized’ EP in 2013, ‘Deathvox’ EP in 2014 and her remixes for The Prodigy in 2015. The track ‘Deathvox’ is regarded by her peers as one of the most original contributions to modern techno. We look forward to releasing this female attack on ya’ll at New Year’s Eve.

Randomer (Clone, Dekmantel, Hemlock, L.I.E.S. UK)

Few have a recent back catalogue as rich and diverse as Randomer. His discography reads like a who’s who of modern techno: he’s produced four EPs for Untold’s Hemlock Recordings; released records for Hessle Audio, Numbers and Clone; and most recently, been cherrypicked for Ron Morelli’s L.I.E.S. As a DJ, he's one of the UK’s finest, capable of effortlessly stitching together modern bass with classic techno and less esoteric 4/4 rhythms. Expect his modern and classic techno mix-up to guide you effortlessly to the new year on the Space Rave.

AZF (Rinse France, Qui Embrouille Qui. FR)

If there’s only space in your brain to recall one name on the French industrial techno scene in 2018, make sure that it contains the following three letters: A-Z-F. It’s almost impossible to gauge the level of excitement surrounding Audrey Carcassonne, such is the international acclaim that has come her way since the start of 2017. An inspiring artist that we’re definitely looking forward to on New Year’s Eve.

[KRTM] B2B TWAN (PRSPCT, MadBack, T/W/B//, Rimbu. BE)

[KRTM] is an Electronic musician with deep roots in hardcore and techno music. Pushing the envelope of industrial dancefloor music on well-respected imprints such as PRSPCT, Industrial Strength, T/W/B and Obscuur Records

TWAN stands for techno with a rougher edge. Knowing his musical past and the love for the harder styles, it is only right that ‘TWAN’ created his own tracks. A style best described as fast-paced raw percussive techno. Back 2 Back they will guide us into the new year

Spacid (Kozzmozz, Future Acid. BE)

Spacid is a known Kozzmozz-resident. Next to guiding the Kozzmozz spaceship into new and unexplored territories, you can regularly catch him on various parties and festivals around the country. He has been promoting techno since the early 90’s but never ties down to one particular style. He’ll will eagerly show us his undying love for techno at The Space Rave.

The Rave Alert territory

Umwelt (Rave or Die, New Flesh, Shipw. FR)

Founder of Rave or Die and of the New Flesh Records imprint, Umwelt boasts over forty releases to date, which places him among the most prolific French electronic producers. In 2016, after a long spell off the radar, this expert in ferocious distortions tinted with sweet melancholy delivered his second album, entitled Days of Dissent and released on Boidae. The opus was highly acclaimed by the public and the press, which proclaimed it an electro referent. He’ll bring his ravenous distortions to Space Rave to celebrate a new year to come.

Ghost In The Machine (Perc Trax. NL)

Frank Nitzinsky and Nils van Lingen's Ghost in the Machine project started out as little more than a name, playing oldschool acid sets together. In 2016 the two discovered that they had both developed a desire to take their project far beyond the occasional DJ set. The duo made short work of their new mission and 2016 saw the release of their first records on the newly minted industrial techno vinyl imprint Genosha Basic. It’s a rare occasion to see Ghost In The Machine play in Belgium. We can’t wait to see them at New Year’s Eve.

Vikkei (Obs.scur, Neurotrope. ES)
Since the very first party of the new millennium Vikkei felt himself pulled towards electronic music, but only in 2007 he had the great idea of buying his first groove box to make his own music. After years of hard techno live setting in many free parties, he went to the ACID ILLUMINATION in Poland. This is where his love for acid started. We’re thrilled to welcome Vikkei at New Year’s Eve as he has almost never played in Belgium before.

Jacidorex (NeoAcid, Rave Alert. BE)

Jacidorex is a young producer from Brussels who has taken the international acid scene by storm. After discovering acid music in late 2013 he soon became one of the exponents of the fresh and strong generation of acid producers in Belgium. Next to his passion for acid music he also got a strong taste for techno, and where techno meets acid(core) comes his signature style Neoacid. Jacidorex is ‘hot’ at this moment amongst the crowd, so don’t dress up to warm as he’ll bring up the heat at The Space Rave.

X&trick (Rave Alert, New York Haunted. BE)

Emblematic figure of the Belgian rave scene, X&trick has been spreading his powerful & unique sound since 1998. He started out as DJ and party promoter. He soon became known as one of the most innovating dj's in the Belgian scene, performing at all major parties and festivals. He has been playing for 20 years now and shows no sign of slowing down. Celebrating this with his 20 Years X&trick tour. We’re excited to see him close his tour at The Space Rave.

Bashir (Rave Alert. BE)

Party is what it's all about. So you have to play party music. Bashir plays party music. Mainly UK hardcore with a happy flow involved with some DnB, jungle, gabber and whatever that fits in. A modern rave sound that makes hands rise, feet move and people party. And there is no bigger party than our Space Rave at New Year’s Eve.

Zeck (Rave Alert. BE)
Zeck is a Rave Alert resident known for his typical ‘Belgian’ rave sounds strongly influenced by old clubs like Boccaccio and Cherry Moon crossing genres like New Beat, Belgian Techno, Retro and Trance. He’ll be dropping his oldscool influenced sounds on The Space Rave to end the year in style.
